I purchased a baby car seat on from the Langley, BC Toy R Us SKU # 706299 ( $149.99). After returning home I saw a Sears flyer with the same item, which was $25.00 cheaper. I called the store asking if a "price match" would be done. The lady indicated Yes and I was able to go to any store to have it done.
The color of the car seat was slightly blacker than the one that I showed them in the flyer from Sears, so no price match would be done(store policy). The company would rather have people bring back items to get a full refund and lose out on sale, for a minor tone color than to price match the difference of $ 25.00? Customers should be made aware of your policy prior to purchasing items.

I am not a huge fan of toys r us. Was it the same SKU? I would write a little email complaining about this and see what they do. They lost a sale and since Sears is in the same mall you just went somewhere else to buy it.
I have received gifts from Toys r us for the kids with gift receipts. When I went to return some of them they would only give me a gift card for the store so I had to buy something there. I was choked since I knew what I wanted to replace the toys with and it wasn't sold there.

Wow, I've never had a problem at TRU. I like the one in Whalley, to be honest. The staff there is very helpful and nice and have taken open box returns from me with no issue. Now if they could do something to lower their prices....
